The Product Repair Specialist will provide quality service to internal and external customers in all assigned tasks while being responsible for the repair, calibration, and maintenance of Medical devices and Medical training equipment, using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and knowledge of manufacturers' manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive-maintenance schedules. May be required to perform product repair training or demonstrate repair procedures.

  •  Identify trends in the repair calls and develop documentation to address these most-often reported problems and issues
  •  Notify management of increasing trends, unusual activity or repeated activity.
  •  Evaluates returned product to ensure performance and adherence to established specifications.
  •  Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on company product lines.
  •  Develop safety-tests to the equipment for function and performance as defined in product literature.
  •  Troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul or refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and system components.
  •  Support all internal and external customers with product knowledge and expertise
  •  Assist with the development and testing of newly designed products for operational integrity and function
  •  Software and Networking troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Conduct Non-Warranty service and Warranty calls
  •  Keeping detailed info of each shipment and emailing the appropriate parties involved with all the info needed to bill and ship the equipment Qualifications:
  • 2 year technology degree and post school experience strongly sought
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a technical support environment
  • Experience as a Biomedical Technician is a great plus
  • EMT/EMS, Paramedic, or Nurse training is a plus
  • Familiarity with applicable FDA guidelines and by-laws as they relate to medical device repair and reporting.
  •  Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft platform) with an emphasis on software knowledge, installations and use.
  •  Minimum of 3 years Electro-Mechanical knowledge; preferable college or trade school training 
  •  Work is usually performed in a repair facility setting.
  •  May require travel to customer/remote sites to complete tasks. Working hours:
  •  Hours may vary and will require evening and weekend work depending on business needs and will require working overtime.
  •  Normal hours of work will be between 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Physical Demands:
  •  Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
  •  Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person
  •  Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another
  •  Lifting and carrying of supplies, files and product ( up to 125 lbs) etc.
